‘I Was Terrified’: Alan Ritchson Finally Breaks Silence on Viral Motorcycle Fight Video

Reacher star Alan Ritchson opened up about the viral motorcycle fight in March 2026. He was reportedly involved in a tense altercation with his neighbor. However, the police, after reviewing all the evidence, declared that the actor acted in self-defense, and the case was closed. Ritchson further chose not to press charges against his neighbor over the incident.

Alan Ritchson breaks silence on the motorcycle incident

During a conversation on the Armchair Expert podcast,  Ritchson revealed that when the incident happened, he had no support. This is because his wife was at a retreat, where the phones were taken. At that moment, he was the only caretaker of the kids.

When the police showed up on his porch, he juggled between dealing with the scene and reassuring the kids that everything was alright. Ritchson also noted that at one point, he believed that his career was “tanked” after this incident. The actor received calls from CEOs of studios asking about the matter and if everything was okay.

The actor recalled the incident, revealing that the individual identified as Ronnie Taylor stepped in front of him, leaving him confused. While he was aware that the noise of the bike could be bothering neighbors, things got out of hand when the individual came “aggressively” at him. He said that he was as big as him, so when he attacked him, he pushed him back.

However, Ritchson revealed that when he tried to leave, the person showed up in front of the bike once again and pushed him off his vehicle. Ritchson revealed that at that moment, his priority was his kids.

So, he decided to hit the guy, not in a way to hurt him or “break a bone,” but enough to make him understand where the incident was heading. The actor further mentioned that he was saved from arrest thanks to his chest camera that provided clear evidence.

Ritchson said that if it weren’t for that camera, he could have been arrested, as the neighbor’s pov footage only showcased the last few minutes of the altercation. Describing the motorcycle incident, he said, “It was the scariest thing I’ve ever been through. I don’t like that kind of conflict.”
