Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 recently hit Netflix, and the numbers tell a brutal story. The live-action adaptation saw a sharp decline from its Season 1 debut.
Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 falls from 21.2 million views to 8.7 million
Netflix’s live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender Season 2 debuted with 8.7 million views in the first four days (via Variety). The new season landed at No. 2 on the streaming giant’s weekly English-language TV rankings. However, Season 1 opened with 21.2 million views in 2024, marking a 59% decline for the follow-up.
The release of Season 2 still drove renewed interest in the first season. Season 1 returned to third place in the rankings with 3 million views. However, both the seasons trailed behind I Will Find You, which held the top spot for a second consecutive week.
In its first full week of availability, the Harlan Coben series I Will Find You managed to garner 34.1 million views. It had previously debuted with 24 million views in four days the prior week. The fourth spot went to the June 22 edition of Raw: 2026. It got 2.3 million views.
America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders Season 3 followed with 2.2 million views. This was the show’s second week. The first season of Salish & Jordan Matter logged its sixth week on the chart with 2 million views. Season 2 of the same series got an identical 2 million views during the tracking period on its debut.
Sweet Magnolias Season 5 also recorded the same number of views in its third week on the chart. The Amazing Digital Circus held at No. 9 in its fourth week with 1.9 million views. The Last Ship, a TNT series that last aired in 2018, tied at that position after recently arriving on Netflix. The rankings covered the June 22-28 viewing window across English-language shows and movies on the platform.
