Netflix has announced a new interactive horror game featuring a cast led by Sadie Sink, Zoë Kravitz, and Troy Baker. The project combines a suspense-driven story with interactive gameplay and is set to launch later this month.

Netflix unveils new horror game starring Sadie Sink and more

Netflix has announced a new addition to its growing lineup of interactive gaming experiences. The streaming giant revealed Unhinged, a horror game developed by its in-house Night School Studio, with a release date set for June 30, 2026. It follows the recent launch of FIFA World Cup: Launch Edition.

The upcoming game will feature Zoë Kravitz, Sadie Sink, and Troy Baker. Kravitz voices Ava, while Sink plays her friend Claire, and Baker voices Ben, the superintendent of Ava’s apartment building. The story begins during a powerful storm that knocks out the electricity, leaving Ava stranded in a darkened environment. Equipped only with her phone, she must rely on calls and text messages with her best friend Claire and apartment building superintendent Ben as she attempts to reach safety. As Ava searches for a way out, it becomes clear that she is not alone.

Netflix is also introducing a different approach to gameplay. Rather than requiring a controller, players can access the experience by scanning a QR code and using their smartphones to interact with the game. According to Netflix, “The real-world movements on your phone track with Ava’s hands in the game, allowing you to guide her flashlight through the shadows.”

The game will offer two gameplay options. Story Mode removes timers and prevents character death, allowing players to focus entirely on the narrative. Meanwhile, Standard Mode introduces time-sensitive challenges that require players to quickly locate and interact with objects. If a player fails to do so before time runs out, they will restart from their most recent checkpoint.
