Daily Wire+ has released the official trailer for The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin. It gives viewers an extended look at its ambitious new fantasy series rooted in Stephen R. Lawhead’s acclaimed books.

New The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin trailer released

The newly released trailer for The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin introduces viewers to a world far removed from the typical medieval castles of Arthurian lore. Based on the multi-award-winning books by Stephen R. Lawhead, the series reimagines the classic myth, setting the action in the turbulent wake of Roman-occupied Britain.

As barbarian invaders threaten the land, the series follows a young Merlin, shown as a Christian hero who bridges Britain’s druidic past with its budding Christian heritage. This version of the character is the son of the druid Taliesin and Charis, a princess from the lost kingdom of Atlantis.

The press release describes the series as: “The Pendragon Cycle is a unique retelling of the Arthurian legend. Set not in the high Medieval age of knights in shining armor, but in the wake of a Roman-occupied Britain, where the seeds of Christianity are beginning to take root in the face of spiritual and physical darkness. As barbarian invaders threaten to lay claim to the Island of the Mighty, only those with faith in the true God will prevail.”

The Pendragon Cycle is a major production for The Daily Wire. The series is created by Jeremy Boreing. He also serves as an executive producer alongside Caleb Robinson, Ryan Whitaker, Ben Shapiro, Dallas Sonnier, and Daniel Kresmery. The directorial duties are shared by Jeremy Boreing, Jesse V. Johnson, and Ryan Whitaker.

Furthermore, the cast is led by Tom Sharp in the role of Merlin. He is joined by Rose Reid, James Arden, and Finney Cassidy. The ensemble also features Brett Cooper, alongside Myles Clohessy, Alex Laurence-Phillips, and Daniel Fathers. Furthermore, Emree Franklin, Steve Varnom, Alex Arco, and George Osborne also star in the show.

The seven-episode series premieres January 22, 2026, exclusively on DailyWire+, with new episodes releasing every Thursday.
