Only Murders in the Building Season 5 has revealed its Hulu release date, with lead stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez sharing the announcement in a new video.

The new season of the popular comedy will release on Tuesday, September 9 with three episodes. As with previous installments, the series will then follow a weekly release model. The news was confirmed in a social media post, with the video included below:
Only Murders in the Building Season 5 picks up after the shocking death of beloved doorman Lester (played by Teddy Coluca) in the season 4 finale. Refusing to believe that it was an accident, given their track record, Charles (Martin), Mabel (Gomez), and Oliver (Short) investigate the shadowy corners of New York and beyond.
This leads them to look into billionaires, old-school mobsters, and even the residents of the Arconica. In the process, the trio learns more about the divide in New York than they thought they knew. It’s a whole new city, one where the mob fights to keep its power while more dangerous players emerge.
Continuing the trend established since the show’s 2021 debut, Only Murders in the Building Season 5 will welcome a bevy of new guest stars. Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Logan Lerman, Christoph Waltz, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, and Jermaine Fowler are among the new additions.
Meryl Streep, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, and Nathan Lane, meanwhile, will reprise their guest-starring roles. It marks the third season that Streep has appeared in as Loretta, the love interest of Oliver.
The murder mystery comedy was co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman. Martin and Hoffman also executive produce alongside Short, Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin. Produced by 20th Television, Only Murders in the Building is up for seven Emmys at the upcoming Primetime Emmys in September.
