Euphoria Season 3 Filming Delayed, 2025 Release Still Targeted

Euphoria Season 3 has hit a speedbump, as shooting on the highly anticipated next season of the HBO drama has been delayed.

After series star Sydney Sweeney hinted that Euphoria Season 3 would be filming soon, Deadline has now reported that shooting for the new season has been “temporarily put on hold.” The outlet also notes that the series’ stars have been given the go-ahead to take on other acting roles in the meantime.

HBO and Sam Levinson remain committed to making an exceptional third season,” HBO said in a statement to the outlet. “In the interim, we are allowing our in-demand cast to pursue other opportunities.”

That being said, the report states that HBO is still aiming to release Euphoria Season 3 in 2025 as CEO Casey Bloys said during a conference back in November.

Who created Euphoria?

Based on an Israeli series of the same name, Euphoria is created and written by Levinson, who is also executive producing with Zendaya, Drake, Adel “Future” Nur, and original creators Ron Leshem and Daphna Levin. The series follows a group of high school students as they struggle to move through the worlds of drugs, sex, identity, trauma, social media, love, and friendship. It stars Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Storm Reid, Algee Smith, Austin Abrams, Colman Domingo, and more.
