Alice & Jack: Masterpiece Unveils Premiere Date for Andrea Riseborough and Domhnall Gleeson-Led Series

The U.K. romantic television series Alice & Jack, which stars Andrea Riseborough (To Leslie) and Domhnall Gleeson (Ex Machina) as an eccentric couple, will premiere on Masterpiece on March 17, 2024

Apart from the release date, distribution company Fremantle (via Deadline) released images from the series, which had its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival back in September. You can check out the photos down below:

Alice & Jack is an “exceptionally beautiful and profound series,” according to Masterpiece exec Susanne Simpson

A series described by Fremantle as a “love story for the ages,” the synopsis for Alice & Jack reads as follows: “When Alice (Riseborough) and Jack (Gleeson) first meet, they’re bound by a connection so powerful it seems nothing can break it, but will their path lead them to a place of happiness and togetherness? Or will life and their own emotional complexities get in the way? Honest, intimate and surprisingly funny, the series shows love in all its unexpected, technicolor, kaleidoscopic beauty.”

In a statement (via Variety), Riseborough said that Alice & Jack is a story for anyone “who could or couldn’t make the sacrifice that love demanded, for anyone who battles and accepts the one who makes their soul soar, for anyone who longs to feel, who has felt, and who feels the tingling anticipation of love’s joy.”

Created and written by Golden Globe winner Victor Levin (Mad Men), the upcoming series also stars Aimee Lou Wood (Sex Education) as Maya, Aisling Bea (This Way Up) as Lynn, and Sunil Patel (Brian and Charles) as Paul. Juho Kuosmanen (Compartment No. 6) and Hong Khaou (Monsoon) are the show’s directors.

In collaboration with Channel 4, the series is produced by Fremantle, Me + You Productions, Groundswell Productions, and De Maio Entertainment.
