Nearly five years after its pilot episode, Hazbin Hotel Season 1 is finally happening. And there’s more good news for fans to go with it.
Hazbin Hotel Season 1 Release Date and Trailer
The Bento Box and A24-backed animated show will debut on Prime Video next year, with a January 2024 release date currently set. What’s more, a second season was also announced.
Previously, an announcement was made on October 27th, 2022, that the series was to premiere this Summer, but that came and went. It was picked up by A24 in August 2020 after the pilot’s phenomenal online success. It’s been watched 89 million times on Medrano’s YouTube Channel.
Created by Vivienne “VivziePop” Medrano, Hazbin Hotel follows Charlie, the princess of Hell, as she pursues her seemingly impossible goal of peacefully rehabilitating demons to reduce overpopulation in her kingdom. After a yearly extermination imposed by angels, She opens a hotel, hoping patients will “check out” into Heaven. While most of Hell mocks her goal, her devoted partner Vaggie, and their first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust, stick by her side. When a powerful entity known as the “Radio Demon” reaches out to Charlie to assist in her endeavors, her crazy dream is given a chance to become a reality.
In the years between the pilot and the show becoming a reality, Medrano made a spinoff Helluva Boss that is set in the same world as Hazbin Hotel.
Musician Silva Hound’s song Addict for Hazbin Hotel became a viral hit of its own, scoring nearly 155 million views on YouTube.
