The Crown Season 6 Photo Previews Another Royal Wedding in Hit Netflix Drama

Ahead of its highly-anticipated return later this year, Netflix has dropped a brand new The Crown Season 6 photo from the upcoming final installment of the acclaimed drama, teasing another royal wedding.

After depicting the messy divorce between Prince Charles and Princess Diana in Season 5, the photo confirmed that Season 6 would feature the former Prince of Wales’ second marriage to then-Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles. Unlike Charles and Diana’s extravagant wedding, Charles and Camilla’s wedding took place in a civil ceremony on April 9, 2005, at the Windsor Guildhall.

Who’s the cast of The Crown Season 6?

The Crown Season 6 stars Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles, Khalid Abdalla as Dodi Fayed, Bertie Carvel as Tony Blair, Luther Ford as Prince Harry, and more.

“As The Crown enters a new decade, Prince William starts at University in St Andrew’s, determined to lead as normal a life as possible while he still can,” reads the synopsis. “Also beginning life as a University student is Kate Middleton from Berkshire. As the pair meet for the first time on campus, a new romance and a new future for The Crown begins.”

The series hails from creator/writer Peter Morgan, director Stephen Daldry and producer Andy Harries. Since its debut, it has won a number of awards, including three Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress for Claire Foy, Olivia Colman, and Emma Corrin. The fourth season also took home multiple major awards, including Best Drama, Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actress.

Seasons 1-5 of The Crown are already available for streaming on Netflix.
