Doctor Who Season 14 Wraps Production on Ncuti Gatwa-Led Series

Showrunner Russell T. Davies took to Instagram to confirm that production on BBC’S forthcoming Doctor Who Season 14 has finally been completed just in time for its scheduled 2024 release. The next installment will be led by Sex Education breakout Ncuti Gatwa, who becomes the first-ever Black actor to portray the iconic character in the history of the franchise.

Before officially debuting as the fifteenth Time Lord, Gatwa will first star as one of the Kens in the highly-anticipated Barbie movie. In support of his latest project, BBC unveiled a pink-colored TARDIS in London.

Who’s the Cast of Doctor Who Season 14?

Doctor Who Season 14 hails from showrunner Russell T. Davies. Joining Gatwa are Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday, Jonathan Groff, Indira Varma as The Duchess, Aneurin Barnard, Anita Dobson, Michelle Greenidge, Jinkx Monsoon, and Lenny Rush with Jemma Redgrave and Bonnie Langford reprising their respective roles as Kate Stewart and Mel Bush.

Before the next season premieres in 2024, three new special episodes will first debut this year as part of the show’s 60th anniversary celebration. It will premiere on the BBC and Disney Plus beginning in November 2023 for fans all over the world. The specials will feature the return of Doctor Who vet David Tennant as the fourteenth Doctor.
