The much-talked-about Netflix series is about to premiere its fifth season. This time, the story will follow the trials and tribulations of the British royal family in the nineties. Here’s when to watch the upcoming Season 5.

When to Watch The Crown Season 5

Netflix set The Crown Season 5 release date at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT on Wednesday, November 9. As usual, the streaming service will release the new batch of 10 episodes at once. Fans can choose between binge-watching all episodes at once or streaming them on their own schedule. Production on the sixth and final season of the show is already ongoing.

As often happened during the series, The Crown Season 5 will feature an entirely new cast led by Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth II, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Dominic West as Prince Charles, and Jonny Lee Miller as John Major. They will also serve as the final cast of the series, likely returning for the sixth installment of the award-winning drama.

For its fourth season, the series won seven major Emmy Awards last year, including Outstanding Lead Actor for Josh O’Connor, Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress for Gillian Anderson, and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Tobias Menzies.

The Crown hails from creator/writer Peter Morgan, director Stephen Daldry, and producer Andy Harries (The Queen). Since its debut, it has won several awards, including three Golden Globe Awards for Best Actress for Claire Foy, Olivia Colman, and Emma Corrin. Seasons 1-4 of The Crown are available for streaming on Netflix.
