First Look at Mockingbird’s Suit from Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Adrianne Palicki made her first appearance as Bobbi Morse on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in the most recent episode “A Hen in the Wolf House,” where she was quickly revealed to be an undercover S.H.I.E.L.D. agent working for Coulson (Clark Gregg). All the fans wondering “What’s with the red outfit?” will see Palicki in full Mockingbird regalia in next week’s episode, and Marvel has provided a first look at the suit in both concept and final form, which you can check out below!

“Bobbi Morse is a well-seasoned spy whose ability to slip in and out of undercover situations seamlessly will prove invaluable to our team,” said Executive Producer, Jed Whedon. “But her appearance comes as a gut-punch to Hunter, as the history they share is complicated to say the least.”

Costume Designer Ann Foley also shared her thoughts on Bobbi’s suit, and how the comics (where Mockingbird is an Avenger) inspired the look of it, which was originally tested in concept form using a blonde Palicki as opposed to her ginger locks in the show.

“I looked at all of her comic appearances and really wanted to try to bring elements of the look from the comics into the costume that we’re doing now for the show because I know it’s important to the fans,” remarked Foley. “It’s important to me to keep certain elements, but we had to change it, obviously, for practicality, because it had to fit into our world. It had to have a kind of tactical feeling to it too so that it made sense in our universe.”

The next episode, “A Fractured House,” will air on Tuesday, October 28 on ABC.
