House of the Dragon Episode 8 Release Date & Time

House of the Dragon Episode 8 is approaching.

With only three episodes left, the freshman season of the highly-appreciated Game of Thrones spin-off is almost done. The situation is tenser than ever in Westeros now that King Viserys I Targaryen seems to be on the brink of death. His successors have already started the war for the Iron Throne. Here is when to watch the upcoming eighth installment.

When to Watch the House of the Dragon Episode 8

The House of the Dragon Episode 8 will air on HBO and HBO Max at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Sunday, October 9. The next episode is titled “The Lord of the Tides.” The series consists of ten episodes which will air weekly. House of the Dragon is based on Martin’s Fire & Blood and follows the rise and the downfall of the Targaryens, the only family of dragonlords to survive the Doom of Valyria. It will take place 300 years before the events of the award-winning series adaptation of Game of Thrones which aired its final episode in May 2019. Game of Thrones was one of the most popular TV series ever, breaking all sorts of records in terms of viewership.

The series will be led by Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen. It will also feature Rhys Ifans, Steve Toussaint, Eve Best, Sonoya Mizuno, Milly Alcock, Emily Carey, Graham McTavish, Ryan Corr, Jefferson Hall, David Horovitch, Matthew Needham, Bill Patterson, Gavin Spokes, Wil Johnson, John Macmillan, Savannah Steyn, and Theo Nate.

House of the Dragon hails from George R.R. Martin, Ryan Condal, and Game of Thrones director Miguel Sapochnik, with Condal and Sapochnik also attached to serve as showrunners. Executive producers are Martin, Sapochnik, Condal, Vince Gerardis, and Sara Lee Hess. Game of Thrones and Westworld composer Ramin Djawadi returns for the series.
