Pedro Pascal Teases Potential The Mandalorian Movie

Disney’s The Mandalorian series on Disney+ is by far the most popular Star Wars project in some time, and it’s so big now that both fans and those involved in the show have begun thinking of taking it to the big screen.

During their recent appearance at D23 Expo, The Mandalorian‘s executive producer Rick Famuyiwa and star Pedro Pascal were both asked if they’d ever want to end the series with a feature film. While Famuyiwa said that the decision wasn’t up to him and he doesn’t know, Pascal quickly spoke up that it’s something they’d love to do.

“I’ll answer for him, yes he wants to,” Pascal said, before going on to tease that it could be something they’re talking about in the future. “That’s a great idea. And if it isn’t a conversation already, then it will be after today.”

If a film based on The Mandalorian ever makes its way to theaters, it’ll have to be after the third and fourth season of the hugely popular show, as director Jon Favreau has already begun writing the fourth season of the show — which has yet to be ordered yet — ahead of the show’s Season 3 premiere sometime next year.

The Mandalorian recently wrapped production on its third season, which is set to continue the adventures of Din Djarin (Pablo Pascal), a Mandalorian warrior. Pascal’s character also recently appeared throughout the Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett.

The Star Wars series is being led by Pedro Pascal as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy. Before the new season, Pascal’s Din Djarin previously appeared in last year’s The Book of Boba Fett spin-off.

The Mandalorian hails from executive producers Favreau, Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, Karen Gilchrist, and Carrie Beck. Favreau is also set as the showrunner and one of its directors.
