A much-appreciated classic film is being adapted into a series coming to Prime Video.
On Friday, Aug. 12, the streaming service will add the A League of Their Own series to its content. The comedy-drama remake of the classic 1992 film stars Abbie Jacobson, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Roberta Colindrez, Nick Offerman, Saidah Arrika Ekulona, Kate Berlant, Kendall Johnson, Kelly McCormack, Alex Désert, Priscilla Delgado, Aaron Jennings, Molly Ephraim, as well as Melanie Field, and Dale Dickey.
“A League of Their Own evokes the joyful spirit of Penny Marshall’s beloved classic while widening the lens to tell the story of an entire generation of women who dreamed of playing professional baseball,” reads the synopsis. “The show takes a deeper look at race and sexuality, following the journey of a whole new ensemble of characters as they carve their own paths towards the field, both in the League and outside of it.”

Additionally, a new reality show will be available starting next Friday as Cosmic Love will premiere all 10 episodes on Prime Video. Jess Castro (Love Island, American Idol) executive produced the series in addition to serving as showrunner.
“In this one-of-a-kind social experiment, four individuals attempt to find their perfect spouse via astrological matchmaking. Each individual represents one of the four elements of astrology (Air, Fire, Water, Earth). Their romantic adventure takes place at a retreat run by a mystical guide, the Astro Chamber. They mingle, match, date, eliminate, and eventually make the biggest decision of their lives… will they marry their match, based solely on their astrology?”
