Peacock announced that its upcoming comedic thriller The Resort will premiere on July 28, 2022. As part of the announcement, Peacock also released the first images from the series.

The Resort stars William Jackson Harper and Cristin Milioti as a couple who take a trip together for their 10th anniversary. They find themselves thrown into an unresolved mystery they have to help solve.

The upcoming series is written by showrunner Andy Siara, who also wrote the Hulu film Palm Springs, which Milioti starred in. Other cast members include Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Nina Bloomgarden (Hot Pink), Skyler Gisondo (The Righteous Gemstones), and Sam and Debby Ryan (Insatiable).

“A multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time,” reads the official synopsis for the series. “An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place fifteen years prior.”
