A new clip from the upcoming Disney+ series Ms. Marvel has been released, showcasing Kamala Khan preparing to head to a party with her parents.

The clip kicks off with Kamala’s mother, Muneeba, telling Kamala that she is allowed to go to an “Avengers party” so long as she goes with her father and obeys a strict time limit. Things take a bit of a turn, though, when her mother reveals an outfit that she made specifically for Kamala: an outfit designed around The Incredible Hulk. Then, her father bursts into the room dressed in his own costume, complete with his face painted green.

Ms. Marvel stars newcomer Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan, marking the live-action debut of the fan-favorite Marvel character. Joining Vellani are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.
“The series introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani American from Jersey City,” reads the official synopsis. “An aspiring artist, an avid gamer, and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she is a huge fan of the Avengers—and one in particular, Captain Marvel. But Kamala has always struggled to find her place in the world—that is, until she gets superpowers like the heroes she’s always looked up to.”

Ms. Marvel is directed by executive producers Adil El Arbi & Bilall Fallah, Meera Menon, and Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, with executive producer Bisha K. Ali serving as head writer.
Following the series, Vellani’s teen hero will next be seen in Nia DaCosta’s Captain Marvel sequel, titled The Marvels, starring opposite Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris, which is currently set for a July 28, 2023 release.
