Schitt’s Creek is getting ready to leave Netflix in the United States later this year. This hit comedy will make the move to Hulu, where it will begin streaming exclusively on the platform on October 3, 2022.

Hulu announced the move on Thursday, confirming that Schitt’s Creek would be moving to its platform later this year after originally landing on Netflix following its successful run on television. Schitt’s Creek premiered in 2015, running for six seasons and becoming one of the most beloved comedy series ever in that short time span.
The series has also taken home plenty of awards, including a total of 19 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, 15 of which came in its sixth and final season, which set a record for most Emmy nominations for a comedy series’ final season. In total, the series has won 9 of the 19 Emmy awards it was nominated for, including sweeping all major comedy series awards in 2020.
In Schitt’s Creek, wealthy couple Johnny (Eugene Levy) and his soap opera star wife Moira (O’Hara) suddenly find themselves completely broke. With only one remaining asset, a small town called Schitt’s Creek, this once-wealthy couple move to the town with their two spoiled children (Dan Levy and Annie Murphy).
