The Offer Trailer Previews The Godfather’s Hellish Journey to the Big Screen

Paramount+ has dropped the full trailer for its upcoming limited drama series The Offer, starring Miles Teller as The Godfather producer Al Ruddy. It is scheduled to make its debut on Thursday, April 28.

The Offer trailer, which you can check out below, begins with Teller’s Al Ruddy as he gets suddenly assigned with the difficult task of producing Paramount’s adaptation of The Godfather. It highlights the ambitious project’s hellish journey to the big screen with Ruddy encountering numerous pre-production issues including trying to deal with the Mob.

Based on the never-before-revealed experiences of Oscar and Golden Globe-winning producer Albert S. Ruddy, The Offer follows Ruddy’s journey in bringing Mario Puzo’s epic crime novel The Godfather to life on the big screen. Joining Miles Teller as Al Ruddy are Matthew Goode as Robert Evans, Dan Fogler as Francis Ford Coppola, Burn Gorman as Charles Bluhdorn, Colin Hanks as Barry Lapidus, Giovanni Ribisi as Joe Colombo, Juno Temple as Bettye McCartt, Justin Chambers as Marlon Brando, Anthony Ippolito as Al Pacino, and Patrick Gallo as Mario Puzo.

The limited series will also feature Josh Zuckerman, Meredith Garretson, Nora Arnezeder, Paul McCrane, Anthony Skordi, Jake Cannavale, James Madio, Michael Rispoli, Stephanie Koenig, Lou Ferrigno, Frank John Hughes, and Danny Nucci.

The Offer is written and executive produced by Nikki Toscano and Michael Tolkin, with Toscano also serving as the showrunner. Rocketman director Dexter Fletcher is also serving as the director for the first block of the series. Executive producers are Teller, Ruddy, Fletcher, Russell Rothberg, and Leslie Grief.
