The South Park: The 25th Anniversary Concert will feature co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone and the bands Primus and Ween and will take place on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Tickets for the concert are not available yet, but fans can register early to be able to purchase them by visiting the website for the event now. The registration period is set to last until March 20, so make sure to register if you’d like a chance to attend.

“We’re so excited to go home and play at Red Rocks, a place that’s been known for hosting the most legendary Artists and Musicians. Until now,” said co-creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker in a statement regarding the upcoming concert.

The news comes following the marketing material for South Park‘s 25th season, which has routinely featured operatic renditions of South Park songs. It’s currently unclear just what type of concert it will be, as Primus and Ween — the former of whom perform the South Park main theme song — are more traditional rock bands.

South Park was created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone. The Emmy and Peabody Award-winning series is executive produced by Parker, Stone, Anne Garefino, and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman are producers.

It was announced in August 2021 that Stone and Parker signed a new deal with ViacomCBS for $900 million, running through 2027, which included a multi-season renewal of the animated comedy series at Comedy Central, as well as 14 original South Park hour-long movies for Paramount+.

The series launched on August 13, 1997, and is based on the animated short entitled “The Spirit of Christmas.”
