According to Deadline, Oscar nominee Sacha Baron Cohen has entered negotiations to join the cast of Apple TV+’s forthcoming adaptation of Disclaimer, which is based on Renee Knight’s thriller novel of the same name. Should the deal push through, Cohen would be joining previously announced leading stars and Oscar winners Cate Blanchett (The Aviator) and Kevin Kline (A Fish Called Wanda).
Last year, Baron Cohen garnered a number of Oscar nominations for his acclaimed performances in Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7, and Amazon’s Borat Subsequent Moviefilm. The upcoming series would be his first TV project in three years since Netflix’s limited series The Spy.
