Josh Duhamel Joins Mighty Ducks: Game Changers Following Emilio Estevez’s Exit

Following Emilio Estevez’s departure from the Disney+ series, Josh Duhamel (Transformers franchise, Jupiter’s Legacy, The Thing About Pam) has reportedly joined the second season of The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers, according to Variety.

Duhamel will be playing a new character, a former NHL player turned coach named Gavin Cole. Cole is described as “inspirational, charming, and hardcore, he’s big on the hockey metaphor that applies to life. He runs the super-intense summer hockey institute where The Mighty Ducks land in Season 2.”

Based on the 1992 sports comedy-drama film, The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers stars Brady Noon, Lauren Graham, Maxwell Simkins, Swayam Bhatia, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Taegen Burns, Bella Higginbotham, Julee Cerda, and De’Jon Watts.

The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers is created and executive produced by Josh Goldsmith, Cathy Yuspa, and Steve Brill, who is the original writer of the first film and the executive producer on all three films.

Executive producers are Graham, Michael Spiller, George Heller, Brad Petrigala, Jon Avnet, and Jordan Kerner. It is produced by ABC Signature, a part of Disney Television Studios.
