FX’s Atlanta Season 3 Sets Long-Awaited Premiere Date

FX’s Golden Globe and Emmy-winning comedy-drama series Atlanta has finally set a premiere date for its third season, officially returning on March 24, 2022, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The second season concluded on May 10, 2018.

“We are thrilled to have Atlanta back with a new season on March 24,” said FX Entertainment president Eric Schrier. “Once again, Donald Glover, the producers and [the] stellar cast have delivered another signature season synonymous with the excellence that makes Atlanta so great.”

Atlanta Season 3 will also be available to stream on Hulu the day after its premiere on FX. The first two seasons are streaming now on the platform.

The series tells the story of two cousins who work through the Atlanta music scene in order to better their lives and the lives of their families.

The third season “follows Earn (Donald Glover), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry), Darius (LaKeith Stanfield), and Van (Zazie Beetz) in the midst of a successful European tour, as the group navigates their new surroundings as outsiders and struggle to adjust to the newfound success they had aspired to,” reads the outlet’s synopsis.

Atlanta, which received an early Season 4 renewal, is produced by FX Productions. Glover serves as executive producer, along with Paul Simms, Dianne McGunigle, and Stephen Glover.
