Disney+ Comedy Turner & Hooch Canceled After One Season

According to Comic Book, Disney+ has officially decided not to renew the series adaptation of the classic buddy cop comedy Turner & Hooch for a second season. The cancellation comes after over a month since the Josh Peck-led series concluded its 12-episode debut season, which is now available for streaming.

Despite this, Peck is still continuing his partnership with Disney+ as he is expected to reprise his Ice Age role as Eddie in the upcoming animated spin-off feature The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild. He will also next be seen in Hulu’s comedy spin-off How I Met Your Father.

When an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs. Turner & Hooch was led by Josh Peck as Scott Turner Jr., the son of Tom Hanks’s character from the original film (order your copy here). He was joined by Five French Mastiffs, who are all portraying the role of Scott’s slobbery and loveable new dog Hooch, who is also named after his father’s original Mastiff.

The series also starred Carra Patterson, Brandon Jay McLaren, Anthony Ruivivar, Lyndsy Fonseca, Jeremy Maguire, Vanessa Lengies, Becca Tobin, and Reginald VelJohnson.
