The series, which starred Sanaa Lathan, Kaelen Ohm, Moran Rosenblatt, and Gregg Henry, was well received by both critics and viewers when it launches just under two months ago. However, Netflix has decided against a new season, leaving the series closed on a major cliffhanger which will no doubt leave some fans unhappy.

Deadline reports that part of the reason for the decision may have been money, as the drama was expensive to film and its first season took nearly three years to produce due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The action thriller focused on the life of a happily married man being turned upside down when his wife is killed in a mysterious hit and run accident in Tel Aviv. Grief-stricken and confused, he searches for his wife’s killers. With the help of an ex-lover, he uncovers disturbing truths about his beloved wife and the secrets she kept from him.

Due to the show ending its first season on a fairly big cliffhanger, showrunners Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin were hoping that the show would be able to run for at least a handful of seasons. However, it’s currently unknown if the creators behind the series will look to revive the drama elsewhere.
