Syfy today announced that it has acquired the popular supernatural thriller “Bitten” for a second season, consisting of 10 all-new episodes. The series, from Entertainment One (eOne), will return to Syfy in 2015. Production on Season 2 will begin this summer in Toronto.

During its first season on Syfy, “Bitten” averaged 1.1 million total viewers based on Live +7 data.
Based on the “Women of the Otherworld” novels by #1 New York Times best-selling author Kelley Armstrong, “Bitten” stars Laura Vandervoort (“Smallville,” Ted) as Elena Michaels, the lone female werewolf in existence.
“Bitten” also stars Greg Bryk as The Alpha pack leader Jeremy Danvers, Greyston Holt as passionate pack enforcer Clayton Danvers, Steve Lund as Nick Sorrentino and Michael Xavier as Dr. Logan Jonsen.
“Bitten” is executive produced by J.B. Sugar for No Equal Entertainment, John Barbisan, and Patrick Banister for Hoodwink Entertainment, and Tecca Crosby, John Morayniss, and Margaret O’Brien for Entertainment One (eOne). Daegan Fryklind is Showrunner. eOne is the worldwide distributor for the series.
