Ms. Marvel Release Date Reportedly Pushed Back to 2022

Following the official announcement of Marvel Studios’ Hawkeye premiere date, many are speculating that the original 2021 release date for Ms. Marvel might have already been delayed due to the Jeremy Renner-led Disney+ series’ late Fall debut. According to TVLine, this might indeed be the case for the Iman Vellani-led Marvel Cinematic Universe series. Originally slated for a fall 2021 release, Ms. Marvel is now reportedly on track to make its long-awaited Disney+ debut in early 2022.

Ms. Marvel will be led by newcomer Iman Vellani in her acting debut as Kamala Khan. The Disney+ series also marks the live-action debut of the fan-favorite Marvel character. Joining her are Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, and Nimra Bucha.

It revolves around a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, an avid gamer, and a voracious fanfiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school… that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?
