Tori Anderson (No Tomorrow) and Kian Talan (Brainchild) are set to star as series regulars alongside Vanessa Lachey in the upcoming CBS drama series NCIS: Hawaii, according to a report from Deadline.
NCIS: Hawaii is created and executive produced by NCIS: New Orleans showrunner and executive producers Christopher Silber and Jan Nash, along with SEAL Team writer-producer Matt Bosack. The series is the first in the NCIS franchise to feature a female lead, and will follow Jane Tennant (Lachey), the head of NCIS Pearl Harbor and her team as they balance duty and family while investigating crimes involving military personnel, national security, and more.
According to the report, Tori Anderson will play Kate Whistler, an ambitious agent of the Defense Intelligence Agency intent on climbing the professional ladder. An expert at her work and the politics involved in it, Whistler has more to her story for fans to learn as the show goes on. Kian Talan will play Alex, Tennant’s oldest child. A 16-year-old who is both strong-willed and mature beyond his years, he’s still struggling with his parent’s divorce and the changes that come with it, but is a good child at his core.
Alongside the two new cast members, Yasmine Al-Bustami and Jason Antoon are also set to star in the show, giving the series at least five cast members as of the latest announcements.
