Gomez’s Rouge is being described as “a complicated and electrifying eccentric who arrives at Doom Manor with a very specific mission, if only she could remember it.” The Scottish actress’ role in the series marks her latest appearance in both the worlds of comic book-based projects and at the WarnerMedia streaming platform, with her most notable recent turns including Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Madam Satan and HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant as Miranda Croft.

In Season 2, DC’s strangest group of heroes — Cliff Steele aka Robotman (Brendan Fraser), Larry Trainor aka Negative Man (Matt Bomer), Rita Farr aka Elasti-Woman (April Bowlby), Jane aka Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), and Victor Stone aka Cyborg (Joivan Wade) — are back again to save the world. That is, if they can find a way to grow up…both figuratively and literally. Following the defeat of Mr. Nobody, the members of the Doom Patrol now find themselves mini-sized and stranded on Cliff’s toy race car track. Here they begin to deal with their feelings of betrayal by Niles Caulder aka The Chief (Timothy Dalton), while confronting their own personal baggage. And as each member faces the challenge of growing beyond their own past traumatic experiences, they must come together to embrace and protect the newest member of the family: Dorothy Spinner (Abigail Shapiro), Niles’ daughter, whose powers remain a mysterious but real threat to bringing on the end of the world.

Part support group, part superhero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TitansDoom Patrol will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same.

Doom Patrol stars Joivan Wade as Victor Stone/Cyborg, Brendan Fraser as Robotman, Matt Bomer as Negative Man, Timothy Dalton as Niles Caulder/The Chief, April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane and Alan Tudyk as Mr. Nobody.

The series is written by Supernatural‘s Jeremy Carver and is executive produced by Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, Jeremy Carver, and Sarah Schechter.  Berlanti, a master of superhero TV shows, has helmed series including All AmericanArrowBlack Lightning, DC’s Legends of TomorrowThe FlashRiverdaleSupergirlBlindspotGod Friended MeThe Red LineThe Chilling Adventures of SabrinaYou, and Titans.

The first two seasons are available to stream now on HBO Max.
