WandaVision’s Paul Bettany Says a Secret Character Will Be Revealed

WandaVision’s Paul Bettany says there’s one more secret character yet to be revealed

With two more episodes left of WandaVision, MCU fans have been dying for answers and reveals about Disney+’s first MCU series as each episode gets more and more exciting and intriguing. Now, in a recent interview with Esquire, lead star Paul Bettany continues to tease viewers by confirming that there’s one more major Marvel character that hasn’t been revealed yet and its probably not Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.

“This is the theory that says there is some mysterious Avenger who is going to appear in ‘WandaVision,’ and people seem to think that mysterious Avenger is Doctor Strange,”  Bettany said. “Truth is, of all of the characters that we were trying to keep secret, a lot of them got out through leaks.”

The WandaVision star had previously teased this big character reveal, just before the surprising introduction of Evan Peters’ Pietro. That’s why this led to some fans thinking that Peters might be the mystery character that Bettany’s talking about. Interestingly, Bettany confirms that Pietro wasn’t the secret character he previously teased, revealing that it’s a Marvel character portrayed by an actor that he have always admired and wanted to work with.

He continued, “There is one character that has not been revealed and it is very exciting, it’s an actor I’ve longed to work with all of my life. We have some amazing scenes together, and the chemistry between us is, I think, extraordinary, and it was just fireworks on set. So I’m really excited for people to see that stuff.”

WandaVision will follow the story of Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany’s superhero characters Scarlet Witch and Vision. The series blends the style of classic sitcoms with the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living their ideal suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Joining Olsen and Bettany are Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who was introduced to audiences in Captain Marvel. Kat Dennings will reprise her role as Darcy from Thor and Thor: The Dark World, and Randall Park will reprise his role as Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and The Wasp.
