Arrow’s David Ramsey to Return as John Diggle in Five Arrowverse Shows

It has been nearly a year since The CW’s Arrow concluded its 8-season run last January, and now Deadline brings words that the network is officially bringing back alum David Ramsey to the Arrowverse as he signs on to reprise his role as John Diggle in The CW’s five DC superhero shows including Supergirl, The Flash, Batwoman and the upcoming Superman & Lois as well as a secret role in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. In addition to his guest-starring appearance, he has also signed to direct five episodes for the first season of Superman & Lois and the final season of Supergirl.

“I remain in awe of the imprint these shows have had on television and I’ve been blessed for the better part of a decade to be a part of them both in front of and behind the camera,” Ramsey said in a statement. “To say I’m excited beyond belief to return to the Berlantiverse would be an understatement. I can’t wait to continue telling these stories.”

Diggle was last in the series finale of Arrow where his future was actually teased when he decided to move to Metropolis. Along the way, he encounters a glowing green object that crashed right in front of him. Because of this, fans have been speculating that this might be the Arrowverse’s way of introducing Diggle as the Green Lantern. This theory has been long speculated by fans which was fueled during the Elseworlds crossover event when John Wesley Shipp’s Flash hinted at Diggle’s other multiverse version.
