The CW’s iZombie Casts Three of Its Characters

Deadline is reporting on the first bit of casting news for The CW’s upcoming pilot “iZombie,” based on the comic series created by Chris Roberson and Michael Allred.

The first addition is “Breakout Kings” star Malcolm Goodwin as police detective Clive, who partners up with the lead character Liv after her abilities help him solve a multitude of cases. Other additions include “Last Man Standing” star Alexandra Krosney as Liv’s best friend Peyton and “Alias” alumn David Anders as the antagonist Blaine.

“Veronica Mars” creator Rob Thomas and Diane Ruggiero will executive produce the series, which sees a med student-turned-zombie working in a coroner’s office. In order to maintain her humanity she’ll be forced to dine on the brains of the deceased, but in doing so she will absorb their memories and use it to solve their murders, among other crimes.
