Jon Favreau Delivers Update on The Mandalorian Season 2!

Season 1 of the Disney+ series The Mandalorian has yet to be released but that hasn’t stopped series creator Jon Favreau from revealing details about Season 2. Speaking with EW, Favreau revealed that he and his team are already hard at work on the follow-up season and, more importantly, that he is gearing up to direct an episode.

“We’re working on season 2, writing, prepping with the directors and getting ready to direct myself, actually,” Favreau said. “I didn’t get a chance the last time around because I was doing Lion King. So I’ll step in for one of them.”

Considering his track record, which includes Iron Man, Cowboys vs. Aliens, The Jungle Book and the aforementioned The Lion King, this is exciting news indeed. However, the outlet notes that Disney has yet to give a second season the green light, though odds are the chances of a follow up are pretty high.
