Mr. Corman: Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Star in New Apple TV+ Series

According to Collider, Golden Globe-nominated actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer) has officially signed on to star and direct Apple’s upcoming comedy-drama titled Mr. Corman. This project will mark the actor’s first lead role in a television series despite an extensive career in Hollywood. He will next be seen in the action-thriller 7500 which will be available in Amazon Prime.

Mr. Corman will be a half-hour long dramedy which follows the story of a teacher in the San Fernando Valley who is still coming to grips with adulthood. Gordon-Levitt will be taking on the titular role and is also set to write the series’ script.

The series is produced by A24 with Gordon-Levitt serving as an executive producer through his HitRecord Films banner.

Some of the original shows that will launch on Apple’s upcoming streaming service include Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories anthology, The Morning Show drama starring Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Aniston, and Steve Carell, See starring Jason Momoa and Alfre Woodard, and Defending Jacob starring Chris Evans and Jaeden Martell.
