Based on the novels written by Ann M. Martin and published by Scholastic, the series follows best friends Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Claudia Kishi, Stacey McGill, and Dawn Schafer through all their friendship and babysitting adventures in the small town of Stoneybrook, Connecticut.

Silverstone, best known for her roles early in her career with the hit teen comedy Clueless and the infamous Batman & Robin, will play Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, the mother of Kristy Thomas and love interest to Watson Brewer, played by Feuerstein.

Feuerstein is best-known for his work on the small screen with leading roles in the USA Network medical drama Royal Pains, which ran for eight seasons on the network, the short-lived CBS sitcom 9JKL, which he also co-created and executive produced, and the revival miniseries of Fox’s hit thriller Prison Break: Resurrection.
