Comic-Con: Titans Season 2 Premiere, Young Justice & Doom Patrol Renewed!

Straight from the DC Universe panel at San Diego Comic-Con, the DC exclusive streaming service has confirmed a cavalcade of news.

First up, Titans season 2 will officially premiere on September 6. The new season of the series delivers new costumes for some of the heroes and brand new characters with the addition of Joshua Orpin as Conner Kent/Superboy, Esai Morales as Deathstroke, Chella Man as Deathstroke’s son, Jericho WilsonChelsea T. Zhang as Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson (aka The Ravager), Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne, Natlie Gumede as Mercy Graves and Drew Van Acker as Aqualad.

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

Next, it was confirmed that Doom Patrol will return for a second season, with its next batch of episodes officially airing on both DC Universe AND on the recently announced HBO MAX. The series will return in 2020.

Executive producers Patrick Schumacker and Justin Halpern, and supervising producer Jennifer Coyle premiered the pilot episode of the upcoming adult animated comedy series Harley Quinn: starring Kaley Cuoco (The Big Bang Theory), who voices the title role of Gotham city’s favorite Queenpin and is also an executive producer of the series. Fans were also treated to a new trailer highlighting even more laughs that will be coming their way this season. The series will premiere on DC UNIVERSE this fall. Check out the trailer below!

Finally Young Justice: Outsiders producers Greg Weisman and Brandon Vietti screened an all-new episode of the wildly popular series and annoucned the continuation of the fan-favorite animated series during the panel, with a fourth installment already in production for DC Universe.
