Don Johnson set to return in Nash Bridges revival at USA
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Don Johnson is returning to one of his most iconic roles, that of San Francisco Special Investigator Nash Bridges, which is receiving a revival at USA Network in conjunction with IP owner Village Roadshow.
The trade notes that the revival will be a two-hour TV special, which will serve as a backdoor pilot to a regular series and will focus on the titular hero in present day San Francisco. Nash will deal with issues such as a new boss and an ever-changing world in which data-crunching and predictive policing are the norm, and figure out how he fits in with the new world.
Bill Chais (The Practice) and Johnson will co-create the special. Johnson, Chais and Marc Rosen (Sense8) will executive produce.
As of now, none of the other regular cast members, including Cheech Marin, Jodi Lyn O’Keefe and Jeff Perry, are attached to the project.
