FX Rounds Out Cast for New Drama Pilot Gone Hollywood

FX has officially revealed the ensemble cast for their upcoming and newest pilot drama titled Gone Hollywood, which focuses on a Hollywood talent agency in the 80s. Game of Thrones alums Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Jonathan Pryce (The Wife) have signed on for leading roles in the pilot along with John Magaro (The Umbrella Academy), Lola Kirke (Mozart in the Jungle), Ben Schnetzer (The Book Thief) and two-time Emmy Award-winning actor Judd Hirsch (Taxi).

Created, written and executive produced by Ted Griffin, Gone Hollywood centers on a group of talent agents who defect from an old-guard percentery to found their own, which skyrockets to industry dominance, disrupting the business and changing movies forever. The show will mix its fictional protagonists with real-life entertainment figures and events.

Magaro, Coster-Waldau, Kirke, Schnetzer, Pryce and Hirsch are set to portray the roles of Eli Zeller, Jack DeVoe, Abbie Jinks, Robbie Riese, Benny Landau and Lev Kertzman, respectively. In addition, the pilot will also star Nelson Franklin (Blackish), Eric Lange (Escape at Dannemora), Sarah Ramos (Parenthood), Peta Sergeant (Castle Rock) and Jeremy Shamos (The Undoing), who have all been cast for recurring roles.

Griffin will be directing the pilot and has also signed on as the pilot’s showrunner. The executive producers are comprise of Scott Rudin, Eli Bush, Garrett Basch, Shawn Ryan and Marney Hochman.

Coster-Waldau gained recognition for his role as Jaime Lannister in HBO’s award-winning fantasy series Game of Thrones which had recently concluded its eight-season run last May. He have many nominations for the role including an Emmy Award and a SAG Award for Best Supporting Actor.
