Natalie Gumede to Guest Star as Mercy Graves on DC Universe’s Titans

Deadline is reporting that Natalie Gumede (Doctor Who, Death in Paradise, Clubbed) has joined DC Universe’s Titans series in the recurring guest star role of Mercy Graves.

Graves is described as the ruthless, cunning, right hand and bodyguard to the notorious Lex Luthor — serving her boss with unquestioned loyalty. Her connection to the Luthors runs deep, as Mercy has been a friend of the family and in Lex’s life since they were young.

The character was introduced in 1999 in a DC Comics’ Detective Comics issue, though Graves first appeared in a Season 1 episode of Superman: The Animated Series in 1996.

Graves will join Esai Morales as Deathstroke, Chella Man as Deathstroke’s son, Jericho WilsonChelsea T. Zhang as Deathstroke’s daughter, Rose Wilson (aka The Ravager), and Iain Glen as Bruce Wayne for season two.

Titans follows a group of young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The series stars Brenton Thwaites (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales) as Dick Grayson/Robin, Teagan Croft (Home and Away) as Raven, Anna Diop (24: Legacy) as Koriand’r/Starfire, Alan Ritchson (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) & Minka Kelly (Friday Night Lights) as Hawk and Dove, Bruno Bichir as Dr. Niles Caulder, and Lindsey Gort as Police Detective Amy Rohrbach.

From Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. TelevisionTitans is one of the all-new exclusive original live-action series coming soon to DC UNIVERSE. It comes from executive producers Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, and Sarah Schechter.
