Marvel’s Runaways Renewed for A Third Season At Hulu

Hulu has officially renewed their teen superhero series Marvel’s Runaways for a 10-episode third season. The news came with an announcement video highlighting the fans’ overwhelming support for the renewal. Starring Lyrica Okano, Virginia Gardner, Ariela Barer, Gregg Sulkin, Allegra Acosta, and Rhenzy Feliz, you can check out the video below!

“We are so excited to tell more Runaways stories and are so grateful to Marvel, Hulu, our amazing cast and crew and of course our passionate audience,” Executive producers and showrunners Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage said in a press release. “Season three will be a magical time on Runaways, as we deepen our connection to the Marvel universe. We are honored to continue to play in the sandbox created by Brian K Vaughn and Adrian Alphona.”

Marvel TV chief and the series’ executive producer Jeph Loeb added “Thank you, Hulu! We’re thrilled that Marvel’s Runaways is back for its third season, Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage and the amazing writers have something epic in store for our terrific cast.”

The Runaways have left their homes (and evil parents) behind and now have to learn to live on their own. As they scavenge for food, search for shelter, and take care of one another, our kids begin to realize that, for better or worse, they’re stuck with each other. And it’s up to them to take down PRIDE once and for all. But someone sent a mysterious message to Jonah… Is there a mole in the Runaways? Meanwhile, PRIDE is focused on finding their children, and Jonah has his own dangerous plan in mind.

The cast for the series includes Ariela Barer (New Girl, One Day at a Time) as Gert Yorkes, Lyrica Okano (The AffairUnforgettable) as Nico Minoru, Rhenzy Feliz (Teen WolfCasual) as Alex Wilder, Gregg Sulkin (Faking ItDon’t Hang UpAnti Social) as Chase Stein, Virginia Gardner (GoatLittle Bitches) as Karolina Dean, and Allegra Acosta (100 Things to do Before High SchoolJust Add Magic) as Molly Hernandez. The O.C. and Gossip Girl creators Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage serve as co-showrunners/writers and executive produce the series along with Marvel’s Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory.

Season 2 is now available for streaming at Hulu.
