The Act, Series Premiere: Sometimes the craziest stories are based on real-life. Hulu’s new anthology true crime series is focused on telling startling, stranger-than-fiction true stories, and Season 1 is a doozy. Starring Patricia Arquette, Joey King, and Chloë Sevigny, the first installment is based on Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who is currently serving a second-degree murder sentence in prison. In the series, Gypsy is trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee. Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder. The Act will begin streaming on March 20.

Season 3 will continue to follow the trials, tribulations, and laughs as these friends navigate the next chapter of their lives. The exclusive US premiere of Season 3 will launch on March 19.

Renewals

American Gods, Season 3: Following the Season 2 premiere, Starz has renewed the series adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s novel for a third season, complete with a new showrunner, Charles “Chic” Eglee. The second season saw a lot of developmental issues behind-the-scenes, resulting in showrunner exits and unexpected delays. The network is excited to move forward with the new season, though, saying: “We know that the show will continue to deliver on the vision and promise laid out in the novel,” with the help of Chic’s vision and Gaiman’s contributions. American Gods Season 2 is currently streaming on Starz with new episodes airing every Sunday night.
