Thomas Lennon is Richard Lovely in Fox Comedy Pilot

Thomas Lennon has agreed to star in the single-camera Fox comedy pilot Richard Lovely, according to Variety. The series follows the life of the titular Richard, a famous author living off the success of his children’s book series, “Mr. Mouse.” The only problem is, Lovely is not very fond of children, an aspect of his personality he is forced to confront when Mr. Mouse actually appears in his life.

Nicole Sun and Wendie Mack will also star in the series.

Lennon is perhaps best known for his role in the popular comedy series Reno 911! along with the CBS series The Odd Couple alongside Matthew Perry. He also portrayed Leo Getz in Fox’s Lethal Weapon, and has even wrote a number of films including Night at the Museum, The Pacifier and Balls of Fury.

According to the trade, Lennon had been cast in another Fox comedy pilot titled Dan the Weatherman, which supposedly received great reviews, but was ultimately scrapped.
