Since Niles had given his amulet to Willoughby in exchange for restoring everyone back to size, he needed something else to extend his life. He sent Cliff, Jane, and Rita back to 1980 where Dr. Tyme existed in disco roller rink. He possessed a time-manipulating material called continuinium, which turned out to be his brain. All hell broke loose as the historical figures with Dr. Tyme attacked and went after the brain. He expelled them from his time capsule roller rink.
