Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 7 and Episode 8

Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 7 and Episode 8

In the previous episode of Netflix’s Locke & Key, the woman from the well helped Sam escape from prison, and Nina found Joe dead. In Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 7, Sam went after the Head Key, and in Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 8, the Lockes dealt with the fallout.

For Dodge

Sam broke into Keyhouse. He tried to force the Lockes into giving him the Head Key, but Kinsey hid it in her stuffed orca. Sam revealed that the Echo in the well was named Dodge. We saw that while he was in Rendell’s office as a student, Dodge convinced Sam to do her bidding through an etching of Keyhouse. Tyler had made friends with Sam at Rendell’s suggestion, but after reading his own file, Sam thought Tyler was there to spy on him.

Kinsey lured Sam into the woods, and her fear attacked him. Kinsey and Bode escaped, so Sam went back to the house. While trying to run from the police, he went through the open door with the Ghost Key in it. The door shut before Sam could get back inside and into his body. However, he had been successful in giving Dodge the Head Key, along with others.

Keeper of the Keys

After the incident with Sam, citizens of Matheson brought the Lockes a ton of food. Jackie and Gabe showed up to see Tyler and Kinsey. Scot also arrived, but upon discovering Gabe already there, he left. After they left, Tyler and Kinsey went back to the sea caves, this time prepared for the tide. Kinsey showed Tyler the glowing door. Next to it, they found the names of Rendell and his friends. Kinsey explained that all but Ellie and Erin Voss were dead.

Erin was in a psychiatric hospital, and Kinsey wanted to visit her to warn her about Dodge. Unfortunately, she was too late. Dodge had already gotten into Erin’s head. She discovered that Erin had trapped herself in her head. Dodge was looking for the Omega Key, which—she learned—Rendell had hidden in his head.

Lucas

Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 7 and Episode 8

Ellie Whedon was keeping a huge secret. Lucas, her dead high school boyfriend, was living in their house. She told Rufus that they had to keep it a secret. However, when Bode came over to the Whedons’ to hang out with Rufus, Lucas, who Ellie thought would be out, showed up. Rufus told Bode that he was his cousin.

After Dodge visited Erin, she used the Anywhere Key to travel to the Whedons’. She used a key to transform herself back into Lucas. When Kinsey talked to Erin, she indicated with a photo that Lucas was Dodge.

Mending Key

Locke & Key Season 1 Episode 7 and Episode 8

After the Sam incident, Nina started drinking again. Tyler recognized the signs right away, and he and Kinsey searched for her stash. Nina broke her mug and hid it in the cupboard with the key in it. After unlocking it, she found her mug made whole. She showed Kinsey that it could mend her stuffed orca. Nina had also seen her mirror-self gesture to her to come into the mirror. It triggered a memory for Nina of being trapped in a mirror world. Kinsey told Tyler that she believed the drinking was helping Nina remember magic.

Nina tried to bring Rendell back by putting his ashes in the cabinet. Unfortunately, nothing happened. Nina smashed the urn out of anger. While Nina went to lie down, Tyler offered to clean it up. Among the ashes, he found the Omega Key.
