Doctor Who, Season 12 Premiere: During Season 11, the new Doctor was joined by an all-new cast of characters in the series, including Bradley Walsh, Tosin Cole and Mandip Gill and in a recurring role Sharon D Clarke. Chris Chibnall took over as head writer and executive producer from Steven Moffat for the series. The Doctor and her team will try to save the entire planet when the season premieres on Wednesday, January 1. The new season will be available to stream on the BBC America site.

Spinning Out, Series Premiere: The new drama is a 10-episode series created by former competitive figure skater Samantha Statton (Mr. Mercedes). It will follow the story of Kat Baker (Kaya Scodelario), an up-and-coming, high-level single skater who’s about to turn in her skates after a disastrous fall took her off the competition track. When Kat seizes an opportunity to continue her career as a pair skater with a talented bad-boy partner, she risks exposing a fiercely kept secret that could unravel her entire life. On and off the ice, Kat and her new partner will face daunting odds, injury to body and soul, financial sacrifice, and even potential mental breakdown on their way to realizing their Olympic dream. The series will begin streaming on Wednesday, January 1.

Dracula, Series Premiere: The supernatural miniseries, inspired by Bram Stroker’s classic novel, is written and created by Sherlock’s Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss. The 90-minute episodes will reintroduce the world to Dracula in 1897 Transylvania where the blood-drinking Count is drawing his plans against Victorian London. Led by Claes Bang, the show will debut on Netflix on Saturday, January 4, and on BBC on New Year’s Day.

Ilana Glazer: The Planet is Burning, Premiere: The actor and comedian’s new stand-up comedy special will feature Ilana’s thoughts on homophobes and Nazis, how crappy women’s razors are, and what a joke the patriarchy is. The special will launch on Friday, January 3.

Renewals

The Mandalorian, Season 2: Disney+’s hit live-action Star Wars series was officially renewed for a second season with creator Jon Favreau confirming that Season 2 will arrive on the streamer in Fall 2020. The first season is available to stream now!
