Daddy Gintars

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10 Recap

Gintars approached Charles and Jake about seeing Nikolaj. He’d come all the way from Latvia and found them through Nikolaj’s half-brother, Dragomir. Boyle was uncomfortable with the idea but agreed if Gintars kept who he was a secret. He immediately told Nikolaj, and they seemed to get along. Charles wished out loud to Jake for Gintars to be gone.

Jake set up a sting operation to get Gintars deported. His business was called “The Gape”, an obvious knockoff of The Gap. Jake recorded Gintars confessing while in a Russian bath house. Unfortunately, Charles and Nikolaj were both present when Gintars was arrested for selling counterfeits. Boyle was upset with Jake for not asking him first. Gintars and Nikolaj spent a few hours together before he had to leave, and after Jake got Charles “Best Bud” hats, Charles forgave him.

Flies Don’t Lie

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10 Recap

Rosa was having trouble obtaining evidence for a case and requested FBI involvement for finding trace amounts of blood at a crime scene. Instead, Amy and Holt suggested calling a forensic entomologist, Dr. Yee. They were fans of his since Yee had done a TED Talk presenting his work with flies that were attracted to blood. When Yee brought his flies to the crime scene, they didn’t react.

Unfortunately, Dr. Yee was a fraud. He had used a melted popsicle while demonstrating the flies’ supposed abilities. However, Rosa didn’t need the FBI team anyway. She bluffed using the box of flies, and the perp confessed.

Bug Hotels

Holt and Amy had convinced Terry that there were tiny bugs surrounding his eyebrow hairs, so he shaved them off. Throughout the episode, he would draw them back on. At first, they were too arched and uneven, but then they were thick and blue. One even transferred to his finger. Terry messed with other parts of his face with hair. He bleached his goatee, but he then had to worry about his nose hair.
