Legends of Tomorrow Season 4 Episode 7 Recap

Love is in the air in Legends of Tomorrow season 4 episode 7. At the Time Bureau, a misunderstanding between Mona and Nate — acting as Gary’s wingman — causes Mona to try and get close to one of the imprisoned magical creatures. When men in black come to take the creature named Konane without the Bureau’s knowledge, presumably for Mr. Heywood’s Project Hades, Mona helps the creature escape, but not without suffering a serious injury herself.

Cereal Killers

The Legends are alerted to the presence of a magical creature in 1856 New Orleans by a quiz about notorious killers on the back of a timeline-altered cereal box. Sarah, Ray, Ava, and Mick travel to the home of the killer’s first victim in an effort to prevent the attack. Mick and Ava are at odds after Ava confiscated the diary Mick wrote in that brought his creation, Garima, to life.

Ray and Sarah identify the killer as the possessed doll owned by the victim’s daughter. Mick roasts the doll and the team chains it down aboard the Waverider in order to keep it from returning. However, the dybbuk, or soul of a deceased person so evil that it can’t move on, leaves the charred doll and takes up residence in a puppet representing Professor Stein. When Sarah hosts a dinner for Ava and Mick in order to attempt to have them bond with one another and while Ray goes to shave his ridiculous mustache, the dybbuk powers down the ship and begins attacking the Legends on board.

Neron

Constantine, Charlie, and Zari are sent to speak with voodoo priestess Marie Laveaux to find out what they can about the magical presence in New Orleans. Constantine is knocked out by a priest and awakens in Madame Laveaux’s presence. She sensed Constantine the moment he arrived because of the medallion he possesses, which belongs to the Laveaux family. Constantine was in love with Laveaux’s great-grandson, Dez, who gave Constantine the medallion in order to protect him. When the demon Neron came to force Constantine to help him overthrow hell’s leaders, Constantine refused, and Dez’s life and soul was the price that was paid. Laveaux charges Constantine with saving her great-grandson.

Charlie agrees to help Constantine change history in order to save Dez for her own selfish reasons. If they are successful in separating Constantine’s former self and Dez before Dez died, then the spell that Constantine placed on Charlie that keeps her from being able to change shape will never have been cast. Zari agrees to assist, but only so long as saving Dez doesn’t break the timeline.

Constantine uses the Waverider’s jumpship to go back and break up with Dez. With Dez’s life spared, Constantine’s medallion disappears. A wave of time energy sweeps throughout all of time, allowing Charlie to shapeshift once more, but with dramatic consequences to be uncovered in next week’s mid-season finale.
