BL Series My Stand-In: Which BL Novel Is Thai Drama Based On?

The upcoming Thai BL series My Stand-In is gearing up to make its premiere later this month. The drama stars Up Poompat Iam-samang and Poom Phuripan Sapsangsawat in main roles. 

Ahead of the awaited premiere, streaming platform iQIYI has shared the series’ synopsis in an official press release:

“Joe, the stunt man of famous actor Tong, happened to meet Ming. Having developed a deep relationship, Joe didn’t realise that Ming had always seen him as Tong’s replacement. When the truth is revealed, Joe has to take work on a foreign set where an accident takes his life. When he wakes up once again, Joe finds himself in the body of a young man also named Joe who’d met with an accident on the same day. With some help, he is soon living the same life as he was before—with the same people—and in a twist of fate, he meets Ming once more.”

The press release has also shared that My Stand-In is based on the popular BL novel Stand-In Ship by the renowned author Shui Qiancheng. Furthermore, the original story has surpassed a billion reads online.

KinnPorsche The Series La Forte was released in 2022 and took the BL world by storm. It became an instant classic and a fan favorite.

The series has received an impressive 8.6/10 rating on IMDb and 8.1/10 on MyDramaList. The KinnPorsche creators Pepzi-Banchorn Vorasataree and Kongkiat Khomsiri joined hands once again to helm My Stand-In. Therefore, the anticipation for the upcoming BL Drama is understandably high.
