The highly anticipated upcoming Thai BL series The Next Prince has finally unveiled its official pilot ahead of the release. The Thai Drama stars the fan-favorite on-screen couple, Zee Pruk Panich and NuNew Chawarin Perdpiriyawong. The actors previously won over fans after starring in the 2022 BL Drama Cutie Pie. And now, Zee Pruk and NuNew are gearing up to woo fans with the upcoming royal romance drama, The Next Prince.
The Next Prince is set in the kingdom of Emmaly, ruled by a monarchy. The drama revolves around the crown prince Khanin Assavadevathin (NuNew) of the Atsawathewathin royal family and his bodyguard, Charan Phithakthewa (Zee). Khanin has lived his life as a commoner and isn’t aware of his royal status. Things take a turn when Charan is sent to bring the royal heir back to Emmaly.

The Next Prince pilot: Charan is ordered to bring back Prince Khanin
The Next Prince pilot begins with King Thipokbowon ordering Charan to bring Prince Khanin back to Emmaly. Nin is unaware that he is the crown prince since he has been raised by a commoner. Charan tells Nin’s father that the king has asked Khanin to return to the country. The Crown Prince is supposed to participate in the royal competition as the only heir of Assavadevathin. Nin is shocked as he hears the conversation.
The prince is then attacked by two men, but Charan fights them back. Nin’s father asks him to go with Charan. However, Khanin isn’t willing to go to Emmaly. Charan then promises him that he will do everything in his power to protect him. After getting back to Emmaly, Khanin receives his prince’s makeover.
The King then announces that the three families must send their heirs and teams to participate in the royal fencing tradition. The competition will determine the next king. Despite being a top fencer, Khanin is only seen as a newbie among the royal family.
During the royal ball, Khanin and Charan come close. Furthermore, the pilot shows Khanin painting a portrait of Charan. The pair’s line between a prince and a bodyguard soon begins to blur as they get intimate.
