Casting: We Are What We Are Remake Finds Lead, Chuck Vet Joins Wer

Two bits of casting news to share with you today.  The We Are What We Are remake, directed by Stake Land’s Jim Mickle, Riley Keough, Julia Garner, Bill Sage and Wyatt Russell have joined the cast.  Keough will next be seen in Magic Mike, opening this summer.

Simon Quarterman to Headline Wer

Simon Quarterman has signed on to lead Wer, the upcoming horror project from The Devil Inside director William Brent Bell. Deadline has the news, listing Quarterman as the lead, Gavin Flemyng.

Quarterman, who also appeared in Devil Inside, will star opposite A.J. Cook, playing a character named Kate Moore.

Latest Horror Film from The Devil Inside Director Has a Title

Shortly after the release of The Devil Inside, director William Brent Bell lined up two new projects.  One called The Vatican at Warner Bros.  Another at Sierra/Affinity.

The latter yielded the most mystery because – while it was revealed it was going to utilize the found footage technique – the title and plot were being kept under wraps.  All that we knew was that it was going to apply found footage to a “classic” horror staple.
